I know nothing about it.

To PREVENT the flu (and other [viral] infections):

HANDWASHING

drink lots of water; minimize intake of sugar, high-carb, and high-glycemic

foods

support immune system, particularly vit. C, zinc, & beta-glucan; garlic

N-acetylcysteine (NAC; source of glutathione)-- " 29 percent of those taking

NAC developed flu symptoms, versus 51 percent of those taking a placebo "

homeopathic flu " vaccine " (available in many forms at most health food

stores & many holistic health centers)

" Influenzinum.200th potency once/day for 3 successive days..then once/month

during flu epidemic or once weekly in severe epidemic " . For more info,

www.mindspring.com/~wshevin

Dolivaxil-- " active ingredient.`Influenzinum 9c' " ; " new product.from the

French homeopathic manufacturer Dolisos.. Preliminary trials.suggest that it

works..`flu shot is 68% effective on all people compared to a 90% effective

rate on Dolivaxil' " www.denvernaturopathic.com 10/10/04 (Flu Prevention

without vaccine)

For TREATMENT of the flu (in addition to the above), I have the most

confidence in:

Eat only low-sugar, low-glycemic fruits and liquids. Once you feel better,

may add raw vegetables. Avoid dairy, soy, wheat, and other mucous-forming

foods.

Take vit. C to bowel tolerance (take it every hour if possible, with food;

not a

lot at 1 time and not on empty stomach)

NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) 1200mg/day alleviates flu symptoms; " only 25% of the

NAC group had felt sick versus 79% of those people taking the placebo "

" Sambucol [elderberry]....can bring a swift and less painful end to [a cold

or flu] " " if you

want to shorten a cold or flu take this great tasting supplement, it really

does

work. " " great product " ; " works best if started at the first twinge of

illness "

ECHINACEA, ginseng, & pau d'arco, olive leaf

Oscillococcinum (homeopathic remedy)- " double-blind studies.showed

statistically significant results.for treating the flu " ; " use it at the

first sign of viral illness.

I've stayed well using it while others around me fell into bed "

Essential Oils:

Thieves (clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary).

Raven (ravensara, eucalyptus, peppermint, wintergreen, and lemon).

These blends are made by Young Living Oils

(http://chrisanderson.younglivingworld.com), an excellent brand, but there

may be other excellent brands for a fraction of the price (but be sure to

use a good brand).

www.4life.com/products/TransferFactor/tfplus.html (colostrum-based)

aloe vera juice (high-quality)

organic chicken soup

colloidal silver (If you use it, be sure to get a good brand)

There are also more powerful treatments that holistic physicians offer, such

as IV vit. C and ultraviolet blood irradiation.

I've read (mostly from people whom I respect) the following remedies for the

flu

but have no personal knowledge about them:

" Urbani-Sars Formula....tincture of Wild Rose branch tips and Service Berry

branch tips along with.Xylitol....

www.healthyworlddistributing.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=11

....supposed to kill cold/flu viruses "

" At the first sign of a cold...put Hydrogen Peroxide drops (the 3% diluted

form [and dilute it by at least 50% w/water]) in each ear while lying down

five minutes each side. This has stopped symptoms completely within

hours....repeat the process every few hours. " For more info,
