Experimental study of transvascular direct current treatment for intraabdominal malignant tumors Article in Japanese Manabe T, Takashima S, Nakatsuka H, Nakamura K, Minakuchi K, Onoyama Y. Direct current treatment (DCT) is a treatment for malignant tumors suggested by Nordenstrom in 1978. In DCT, two platinum electrodes, an anode and a cathode, are introduced percutaneously. Usually the anode is inserted into the tumor, and the cathode is inserted into healthy tissue near the tumor. Passage of a direct current acidifies the surroundings of the anode and causes necrosis of this part of the tumor. DCT has been used to treat lung cancer and superficial tumors clinically, but it has not yet been used for intra-abdominal tumors. Here, basic and experimental studies were made of the possibility of DCT of intra-abdominal tumors. A modification, called transvascular DCT, was done with the anode inserted into the liver of rabbits and the cathode placed within a blood vessel by vascular catheterization. First, tests were done to identify a suitable material for the cathode, from the standpoint of safety. DCT is usually done with platinum electrodes. However, in transvascular DCT, platinum could not be used for the cathode because with its use, hydrogen gas was produced in the vessel, causing embolisms. So, a cathode made of AgCl and coated with Ag was developed to prevent embolism. With this cathode, gas was not generated. Next, pathological changes in the walls of the vessel that contained the cathode were observed after DCT. The cathode was put into a tube placed in the inferior vena cava (IVC) or the aorta. a. IVC: A histological study done immediately after DCT showed an area of necrosis in the wall of the IVC in all 19 rabbits. A study done 7 days after DCT showed damage in the IVC wall of all five animals examined. b. Aorta: A histological study done immediately after DCT showed a small edematous area in the wall of the aorta in seven of the 22 animals, and no evidence of any damage in the other 15. A study done 7 days after DCT showed no damage in any of the 16 animals. The aorta was more suitable for use as the vessel to contain the cathode than the IVC, because injury of its wall was minor and reversible. Thus, transvascular DCT could be done safely by use of an Ag-coated cathode made of AgCl and placed in the aorta. Guest guest
Tangental to Moonbeam's references to electrotherapy, there might be promise as a cancer treatment in the new electromagnetic technique called " Magnetic Molecular Energizer " or MME ( " Treatment using oriented unidirectional DC magnetic field " ). There are references to cancer in its patent. Go to http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm and insert the patent number 6,210,317 in the query box and click on Search. See Case Studies 1, 3, & 8 towards bottom of patent page. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Message 25804 From: moonbeam@e... Guest guest
Hi Friend, there is no difference between electricity and magnetism, one is the other. Give me a magnet and a wire and I will give you electricty, give me electricity and a wire and i will give you magnetism. magnets look pormising for cancer treatment. electricity looks pormising for cancer treatment. Both look set to cost doctors in hospitals and drug companies lots of money. Your reference comes fom the patent data base, my references come from the medline. There is a difference between these two sources you know. Nevertheless a DC magnetic field is apporopriate toi use with cancer. I began this research in 1994 after my friend got a six inch tumor on the shoulder. Today I have a new friend with a six inch tumor on the neck, who refuses to see a doctor. Neodymium magnets have been ordered from ebay. The thicker the magnet the deeper the penetration power. The power of the magnet is the Gauss rating, multiplied by the size of the magnet. So a small high gauss magnet is weaker than a less gauss much bigger magnet. So we want a big high gauss magnet. If it is too big - say 3 inches x 1 inch thick - it is no good to us, as it will take 1000 kg to remove it from a piece of iron and cuttlery will fly at us as we walk by. For a liver tumor 4 inches below the surface I would use a 1 inch diameter by 2 inch thick round magnet pointing down at the tumor. I would kmake an aparatus from wood or fabric with straps or adhesive to hold the magnet in place several hours a day. For the above 6 inch skin cancer, a 1.5 inch or two inch diameter round magnet half an inch thick, from ebay (about 30$ or 40$ cost). The literature says to only use the pole of the magnet (against the skin) that attracts the north pointing arm of the compass. If suspended on a string this pole will face south ( yet is called the north pole as it has the same polarity as that found at the north pole). I will repost electotherapy and injection references for those with big skin cancers. regards, moonbeam cures for cancer From: " gkundrat " <gkundrat@...> Date sent: Fri, 13 Aug 2004 15:00:51 -0000 Subject: Re: ELECTROTHERAPY 2 Send reply to: cures for cancer > Tangental to Moonbeam's references to electrotherapy, there might be > promise as a cancer treatment in the new electromagnetic technique > called " Magnetic Molecular Energizer " or MME ( " Treatment using > oriented unidirectional DC magnetic field " ).
