Many opponents of International Trade Agreements have raised the prospect

that United States Laws that we have been assured will protect our hard fought

gains in health, labor and environmental standards may eventually be forced to be

rewritten to " harmonize " with International Trade Agreements. The

Congressional Research Service has confirmed this possibility. Now we have an

example

below in regard to Tax breaks.

IAHF Webmaster: Breaking News, Whats New, What to Do, All Countries, Codex,

EU Food Supplement Directive

IAHF List:

As you can see from the Reuters article below, the EU has gotten the WTO's

Dispute Settlement Body to impose $200 Million in economic sanctions against the

USA in order to force our Congress to change one of our laws.

As you can see from this, we live in a global dictatorship already, and its

only going to get worse unless we fight back strategically!!

SILENCING THE DOUBTERS

(When confronted with IAHF's information about how the FDA has set us up to

lose in a future WTO trade dispute via which our dietary supplement laws are

scheduled to be overturned in a similar trade dispute, most Americans ignorantly

turn a deaf ear saying " that could NEVER happen HERE " .

Failing to grasp whats happening in the world, all too many American vitamin

consumers have been turning a deaf ear to my plea that we need to assist the

Alliance for Natural Health to overturn the EU Food Supplement Directive due to

its global implications.

Wrong. It not only CAN happen, but the article below PROVES it can happen.

Since 1996 IAHF has been exposing the exact mechanisms by which the USA has

been set up for the harmonization of its vitamin laws to a mindlessly

restrictive international standard, and also the exact mechanisms via which the

pharma

dominated vitamin trade associations have been pulling the wool over the eyes

of their members to keep them from fighting back.

ANH needs grass roots support to take their legal battle to overturn the EU

Food Supplement Directive on to the EU Court of Justice in Luxemborg. Please

donate to them at http://www.alliance-natural-health.org

More will be forthcoming soon about ANH's GENUINE efforts to defend our

interests, (in marked contrast to the controlled opposition group which is doing

nothing REAL to fight back- and which spends most of its time attacking ANH) You

will be stunned when you read ANH's response to Aldis which I expect to

release soon.

When you read this information you will see the full truth of how the dietary

supplement industry is being manipulated from within by greed driven

interests who have turned their backs on consumers.

EU SET TO IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON US MONDAY

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - European Union Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy said on

Thursday the EU would impose $200 million in economic sanctions on the United

States beginning on Monday because of Congress' failure to repeal tax breaks

declared illegal by the World Trade Organization.

" The picture is now quite clear. Countermeasures will go into effect by next

Monday, " Lamy told the European American Business Council after meeting with

the chairman of the House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee.

The retaliation will hit a wide array of agricultural and manufactured goods

ranging from buckwheat to nuclear reactor parts. Lamy said the sanctions would

remain in effect until Congress passes legislation to repeal the tax breaks.

Lamy said it remained unclear how long it would take Congress to do that but

he said " the sooner, the better " for U.S.-EU business relations.

The sanctions begin with a 5 percent duty on more than $4 billion worth of

U.S. exports to Europe. That duty will increase by 1 percentage point each month

up to a cap of 17 percent. However, Lamy said the sanctions will be dropped

" the day Congress passes the new legislation " to repeal the tax breaks.
