Guest guest
Well said Donna! I am trying to recover my children and personally don't have the time or energy for negative posts.
Guest guest
Please folks, Lets not bite eachother in the back! We are all here for the same reason. Andy has said repeatedly that he is not a doctor but he is educated on this issue. If you choose to follow what he says & it helps great. If you choose to follow a doctors protocol that is your right and I am glad if it helps your child. Andy can sound brash and abrasive but he knows what he's talking about. He has never forced anyone to buy his book or follow his protocal. He spends numerous hours researching and answering emails. Many of us are on several lists and don't want to read this type of negative bashing of someone who is trying to share his experience with others. Take what you learn and decide for yourself. I personally haven't been able to decide what to do for myself and my son and would prefer to read research and positive comments. I know we all have our opinions and I want to read them all but only if they are positive comments or research pointing out errors or misinformation. I know that electronic media is unable to show the emotion behind what we say but please know that I am saying this with a gentle spirit. Donna :-) [ ] Re: RECOVERED TWINS > Andy, And are you a doctor at all or do you just like to practice > medicine without a licence over the internet? Guest guest
<< Well said Donna! I am trying to recover my children and personally don't have the time or energy for negative posts. >> You have a perfectly reasonable sentiment, but I am not about to spend hundreds of hours in pointless argument where I have to do someone else's homework who is abusing the scientific language by not doing their numbers before drawing conclusions. People who have been on list for a while have probably noticed that I am perfectly nice to people who say all kinds of things - I just lower the boom on this particular behavior pretty quickly and I do it in the interests of time, not of being mean. Most of these arguments can't be resolved without doing the numbers and to actually go through that on list for everyone is extremely time consuming for me and pretty brain numbing for most readers. So for the people who don't want to do the numbers, I simply state my opinion when they state theirs. I also have to admit that when Donna first came on list my intuition really was bothering me that something was going on other than she said, but her story at this point does seem pretty honest. BTW, I consider it extremely insulting and aggravating for people to spew the results of a medline search or two onto the list and make bold proclamations of " scientific fact " based on a cursory reading of abstracts. While I gather this is not a common view on list etiquette, it is mine and it does color my response. Andy
Guest guest
Amen. I agree. I am getting annoyed that every time I post research results or answer a question on the protocol I used and MD supervised, which resulted in my childrens' neurologic recovery, my doctors are bashed as witch doctors or that the research I cite as published in very heavy medical journals is flat out wrong! I am tired of having every post and reply attacked. Obviously there must be room for intellectual debate at least, or have I stumbled upon am eGroup that follows only one view and where new research into helpful and complementary treatments arise they are scoffed at. I had only the best intentions when reporting 2 successful recoveries from autism only to be bashed. Everything I reported over the last week happened to me and is reaserch readily available over the net by visiting the sites for neurochemistry and pineal research. I do not recomend treatment, that's between you and your doctors. I just hope other kids get better too, so please share the research I've posted with your doctors. If I am in error and there is no interest in anything different, I'll know soon enough to move on. Sincerely, Beverly > > > << I am working with a holistic MD who works in a 4 DR. practice > > that > > > does chelation. He is chelating my dentist. DMPS is IV and is > > > strong. Guest guest
Dear Beverly, I am interested in hearing what you have to say. Please keep posting to the list and if you choose to leave PLEASE email me privately so I can learn from you as well as the others on the list. Thank You, Donna :-)
Guest guest
<< If you can, I dare you to read all the research anew and the most recent stuff too than explain it away for everyone. >> I read it once and it takes lots of time to do that. This is exactly the attitude that makes me extremely hostile to people who pretend to be scientific when they don't have a clue what it means - just being on the list and vomiting out a bunch of stuff you searched up on medline does NOT create any obligation for me to waste my time re-verifying stuff I already checked. I did it right the first time and checked it then - I don't need to waste time with it now. Andy
Guest guest
I will not further dignify this intellectual smoke screen diddly poop, other than ask: If you can, I dare you to read all the research anew and the most recent stuff too than explain it away for everyone. If you don't get it something, it doesn't mean its not true. If the research is all garbage and our doctors quacks, please enlighted us. " Give us the numbers " , there are kids at stake! Guest guest
I second Donna's comments Donna Carver wrote: > Please folks, > Lets not bite eachother in the back! > We are all here for the same reason. > Andy has said repeatedly that he is not a doctor but he is educated on this > issue. > If you choose to follow what he says & it helps great. > If you choose to follow a doctors protocol that is your right and I am glad > if it helps your child. > Andy can sound brash and abrasive but he knows what he's talking about.
