Guest guest
Don says: Randall, you test positive for an Anti-body NOT a virus! A viral load test tests for the virus and viral particles. The HIV test tests for antibodies, not the virus. A Geno & Pheno test tests for viral response which to me is also testing for the virus. You cannot have a viral response without having the virus. So there are 3 tests that test for the virus, one that does not test for the virus. The problem here is that it takes a brain to reach a conclusion. The HIV test is based on a conclusion. There in lies the problem Don has with the HIV test. Would one's body give a response to a stimulus that isn't there? That is the question. The HIV test tests for antibodies to the HIV virus. The test result is based on the premise that the body would only make antibodies if the virus was present. Antibodies are one's response to the virus. If there are antibodies present the virus must also be present. I would like to hear what people think of that please?
