even worse!! When I spoke to the organization called HEAL in New York they

 I would still love to know why you're in this group.  If you're just so

lonely that even negative attention is something you crave, then it's much

easier for me to find that place in myself that is loving towards you.  It's

I am touched. Believe it or not, I am in this group because I care about

people with AIDS no matter how misguided they are. Yes, this includes you and

Don and others too. The AIDS community has been very challenging for me

where I live. I have just about given up on them. I remember when the White

fund came up for renewal. Bayer was asked about funding for people with

AIDS. After he made a disparaging face, all he could say is " forget about

people with AIDS " . I half agree with him. They have been nothing but a

disappointment, to put it nicely. In fact they don't even know when someone is

working for them or against them. Believe it or not there are guys in this

group that take HART and depend on HAART. You may not be one of them but several

have privately e mailed me. Always remember, we must fight AIDS, not people with

AIDS.

One thing i don't have is AIDS.  AIDS is what transcends when infected with the

HIV virus according to medical standards.  So don't be calling out everybody on

here by having AIDS.  Second of all if you truly cared you'd look at all the

Oh my gosh, this news just breaks my heart. I had been following Karri for a

while. This just confirms to me that HIV is real and it's no joke. So many

dissidents have passed on and it's just hitting me more and more. Don, while

you mean well about your alternative treatment approach, the truth is that the

majority of people aren't going to put forth such effort and time to research

and try different alternative options when they constantly hear that you can

take a pill or a few pills and be ok as long as you monitor your labs. Facing

Karri's death and 's death a few years ago just confronts me with my

own fate since I too have been diagnosed with this same killer virus. Five

years later, I still look great and am in great health except for dental issues

that has caused me chronic upper respiratory problems long before I was

diagnosed HIV positive.

I am a stubborn one when it comes to making that move to take HIV drugs. Just

last night I saw a guy who I know had been literally deformed by those drugs

that he has taken for so many years. Yet he is alive and walking around looking

like the living dead. I'm sorry, I'd rather die early than look like that. I

know the HIV drugs did that to him. I've seen people who were poz less years

than me and they started ARVs and now they have lipo in the face and their skin

looks so thin you could see their veins. My face is full and my body has good

weight. I am not embarrassed to go outside or to the store. I take colloidal

silver daily and get antioxidants from green tea. I also take a daily

multivitamin and take a daily probiotic. It has to help some- but for how long,

time will tell. If HIV kills without the help of ARVs then I will end up dying

early too unless they can assure me that those drugs will not physically deform

me like so

many I have seen. It just breaks my heart. No one should look like alot of the

people I've seen. May Karri Stokely rest in peace. I am so saddened to hear

this.

If there are others in this group who are on HAART, more power to them; at least

they aren't on the list bragging about their free meds and suggesting others get

on the same ride to slavery.  However, we're here to talk about alternatives.

believe you are going to leave the group. How would you sell your colloidal

silver? Is this group only for alternative treatments? It sounds more like all

methods to cure AIDS. Why do you limit yourself only to alternative treatments?

You should be using EVERYTHING you can. I do not just sit home and collect a

Very good point Noreen, it's all about doing what you have to do.  I see people

on drugs all the time.  I try to reach out to them and tell them they do have a

choice but many are too scared.  Then they listen to people like Doug man who

I forgot to add that some who have contacted me over the years, do not want

help or they want to argue about the drugs. Many of them were living in fear.

Sometimes I told them to stay on their medications because they were so fearful

to come off of them, I knew that fear was a more potent enemy. Rarely, do I

advise people individually, as it was wearing me down. It is difficult to break

away but one will be much happier to go one way or the others, as sitting on the

fence will make one nuts! If one is not strong-willed, then I do not feel that

one should come off their meds.

I think almost all those living with HIV are living in fear. It is not just

those afraid to come off the meds, although that is part of it. Having HIV alone

advise people individually, as it was wearing me down. It is difficult to break

away but one will be much happier to go one way or the others, as sitting on the

fence will make one nuts! If one is not strong-willed, then I do not feel that

one should come off their meds.
