Guest guest
Ok your going to have to explain that allot better. You have and never had a vl? What's your Cd4#? What are they basing to say you have HIV? Im no sure I understand Your point either. Are you saying people are misdiognosed or that You can beat it through your lifestyle? Personally without a valere ever I wouldn't believe any test. If your making the point about antibodies well yea different peoples bodies produce different antibodies to fight off different viruses. The antibodies that fight HIV will also attack other pathogens. I think it wreckless of a medical professional to tell you you will never need treatment. They can't know that! If I where you id live my life test once a year for your own piece of mind and otherwise forget about HIV and aids. I do have a question. Do they say you can transmit the virus? If not then with why even tell you You have it. Of they say no then my question would be f they'd be comfortable having unprotected sex with you. Sorry but Your post just gives me so many questions. Guest guest
..I absolutely no really don't believe that the test is correct but what can I do about that? The first thing you can do is get retested. I took the test 3 times before I believed I was positive. The second thing you can do is get a viral load test done. If you have a detectable viral load you are positive. If there is no detectable viral load then get the antibody test redone. If there are antibodies present you are positive. That is what being positive means. It does not mean you are going to die. It just means that you have HIV. So do what you have to do. I am a longterm survivor without ANY meds. Guest guest
Yes for yrs since 2001 I went in every 3 months and had my viral load checked and it was 0 and I have had my t-cells checked also and they have always been 1100 to 1200 everytime.I now go in every 6 months because they can never find anything wrong with me and I see no reason to go any more than that. What I am saying is that there are plenty of others out there just like me and nothing is being done about people like me.I was told in 2001 that I would be dead in yr.and I wasn't even sick and here I am 10 yrs later and I haven't even had a headache and I am in perfectly good health. So It is a good thing that I didn't take to heart what I was told.I just wanted to say that there really are people out there just like me so we do exist. It is hard to live with it but it is also hard to live with something that dosen't make you sick and you have to live like your contagious EVEN though they can't find anything in your blood.I have no reason to believe that I will ever be sick and I guess that is what my doctors are going by because of my history. They can't find anything to worry about.Apparently the first doctor was wrong. Guest guest
I'm sorry Dougman but the PCR test used for viral load is not specific to HIV and most people who are HIV negative have a viral load. Ask your doctor. Guest guest
you do know there is a difference between an antibody than a virus right? They are 2 totally completely different things. Guest guest
Well as long are you are feeling and looking great keep doing what you are doing. It is possible for a healthy person to have a viral load and there are people out there who don't have a viral load, based on what I have researched, it depends on the person. As far as Antibodies go, antibodies are a good thing when it comes to every other disease, but when it comes to HIV they use the anitbody against you, why? I don't know. The purpose of Vaccines are to give you the antibody so you won't get the virus. Vaccines are loaded with the virus to get your body exposed and immune. But like I said, HIV is treated different. People who don't know the difference between a virus and antibody will never understand. Antibodies don't go away, they are meant to stay in the body. Medical professionals tell you, " as long as you have the antibody, you have the virus " that's BS! They know the antibody is not going to go away so they scam people by using that. Then you get people like DougMan who are a complete confused mess. That's why we will never see an HIV vaccine because that will give HIV- people the Antibody, then with everybody running around with the Antibody, how will society know the difference between the people who are " infected " vs. the people who are not infected? Just think about it. Guest guest
I have had the tests repeated over the past 10 yrs.and it still says that I have the antibodies. But yet I have never had a viral load.NONE!!!!!! They have done an ultra sensetive test on me and it came back 2 or 3 times that there is NO virus there. So I have to live perfectly healthy with this title over my head.I think it is wrong. You can have the mump virus and not be catagious but with this you are I am like the person who just replied and don't understand it either.
