" Well, fair enough, but what if EVERYONE in these e-group was convinced that ALL of the hiv/aids paradigm was COMPLETE nonesense? What would be the point of the group? Would you just pass on news about " further evidence that this is bollox " ; " Meeting with prof X, who says the virus was never isolated " , and so on... And discuss among the members different aspects of why this is obviousl all wrong, and keep convincing yourselves. Don't you think that it is good that there are people who are still unsure, and have the possibility to contact groups like this, and you or others could help? Imagine that someone who reads all of this for the first time will obviously feel a bit wobbly and confused, and maybe will take them a long time to find the piece of mind to stop caring about their analyses. And you must consider that leaving the " fear " behind, is a hard task. And that not everyone's mind works the same way. Some are very sure, some not, and some are stronger than others. And if people " on the know " treat the " newcomers " , or those that are indecisive about this, with an edge or a pinch of agressiveness or extreme irony (that if exagerated could read as: " stop thinking about that you effing idiot! How stupid you are that you need more evidence " , or " well, I see there are some idiots still around " -I'm Exagerating it, ok) that won't help. I think that the best service that forums (fora?) like this can have, is keep informing those who are still afraid about the issue, and not " Ostrasize " them. I'll tell you one experience of mine. Recently, my chineese doctor (he's argentine, but does that medicine) gave me a message which was virtually identical to that which I read in several emails around: " until you don't come out of the aids zone, you stop taking blood tests, and you leave the fear that something is haunting you, you won't find the peace of mind that will stop sickenning you " . This, which is basically the same as these ideas thrown onto people on emails, was SO much more effective on me. The way he talked to me, the fact that I know him and trust him, and the fact that he explained some processes of health and healing (not just saying: you just stop thinking!) meant that the message reached more easily. I think that part of it all is that, although Alive & well.org and virusmyth.com, and perthgroup.org may make an awful lot of sense to most people, many of us really apprecieate a kind word of support, and maybe all that we;re looking for is just a personal contact, with SOMEONE, not just a website. And if the message goes to those who are still taking ARVs, and counting T-cells, and so on, maybe it's a good idea to approach them in a different way as well, but without attacking them for their choice. And if anything, just let them be. If they are " blind " , and " weak " and so on, well, they may be happier that way. No one will be able to save every ARV patient on earth. So just concentrate on those who want to listen. All of this said in the best possible way, and the " " in the last paragraph don't imply citing an email, just to highlight the term. I do see a Dr. regularly who is very cool, my T-cell count is in 700 or so but I have also the feeling that there must be a different way to approach this whole thing out there that i don't know about. are you working with alternative medicine? any advice? I would really appreciate it Pablo Ribot.
