Hi,

Every year, Rick, the blind and disabled man my wife and I cared for for eleven

years, holds a Christmas party at his house and I play Santa. Though had

me figured out years ago, last night his eyes and his whole face got big as he

sat on Santa's lap. Kristi sat on the couch going " Daddy, daddy " but when I got

in her face and said " Ho ho ho Merry Christmas " she gave me a look like maybe I

wasn't daddy after all. , our 4-year-old, laughed the whole time.

, our 11-year-old, was in California with his mother. They have been gone

since Dec. 4 as Grandpa passed away. They will be home tonight. We hated to do

the Christmas party without them, but Rick is very organized and " scheduled. "

After Santa sneaked up and got dressed in dad clothes we had pizza, pop, candy,

and a good time. Then we went to the Live Nativity Scene at a local church and

drove around town and looked at lights. It seems there are more lights than

ever this Christmas season and so many people are doing red white and blue

displays with flags and " God bless the USA " amid Santas and sleighs and mangers.

Happy holidays to all.
