The really good news is that she will be coming home on Sunday after her

last cycle of IV antibiodics for the day. She will have visiting

nurses administer the same twice a day here for a while.

We're all hopeful. Her counts are up, at least a little except for

platelets. While things could turn down quickly, we're hoping that Jan

is beginning remission, at least for a while.

Her hair has mostly fallen out, but some remains. That's what baseball

caps are good for.

Thanks all for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Between that

and her cheerful spirits through the past month, she's coming back.

Once she gets home, she will be back to the computer and read the emails

as they come in. She will also be working on her Christmas list. She

hasn't started that yet.

A good thing about having Jan at home right now is that she can take

care of her grandmother. Jan, at this point, is a much better breakfast

and lunch cook.

Leukemia is still a worry. It isn't gone, merely hiding for a while if

we're lucky. Maybe that will be time enough for a cure.

Rick .......... dad to Jan .. 29 next month

Rick,

I'm so glad to hear Jan is holding her own and doing well. I hope she

only continues to improve. I'm sure she'll be a beautiful bridesmaid and I

bet she's looking forward to that!

Thanks for sharing your Jan stories and your insight--Jan and you are an

inspiration.
