Guest guest
I am only receiving about 8 emails a day. Is this the amount I should be getting? The list is usually more active than this. We are having a real problem. We have been having difficulty finding things and 's physical for SO is in Hawaii and we couldn't find our phone list. We then found the right number and couldn't get her to fax the physical in time. We had difficulty getting a Sports Physical appointment because the system here is so screwy and just now got one. Now the area director says she has placed all the kids in the heats and will accept no more. We told her we were working on this. We have spoken to her on the phone many times about this. I am so upset. I wish we could just go back to Hawaii if just for the Terminators team and the really good medical clinic on Schofield Barracks. It was easy to get appointments. You didn't have to wait 45 minutes for the pharmacy to fill a prescription. I love fall and love my house here, but everything is a pain in the rear here. I'm also still very lonely. Just whining. Guest guest
is here. I posted something the other day about amanda doing so well in her 5th grade class. I've been tired and depressed in general and not spending too much time on the 'puter. we just got it fixed last Saturday anyway and I had to read/delete about 500 something emails. I think this is a tough time for alot of us and I really wish I could see you guys in person and give everyone a great big hug. The suaree is way too far away. we need something around january. Any takers???? ~ Mom to 11 DS and 7 NY

Guest guest
Hi Elaine! I'm here and noticed things were quiet, too. FYI, our pharmacy wait time is usually 45 minutes, too. I hope you can find something to keep busy this winter. That SO director was wrong by not keeping him on a list, knowing you were getting his physical. and Kathy are being unusually quiet...hummmmm...and where is Granny? Guest guest
, I dont have anything in mind. But it would be really nice if we could all get together somewhere. Indoors of course. Maybe we could find a hotel somewhere between here and there and get a block of rooms and everyone who wants to can meet there. sorta like a pre suaree but indoors. Maybe we can find something with an indoor pool and a game room and a bar of course and like a big place where we could meet and gather. I have like the image of a ski lodge. But I dont ski of course. So if anyone has any ideas where and how we could try and hook up in Jan or Feb, (we have a week off in Feb.) let us know!!!! Now I'll be on a mad search looking for a place!

Guest guest
Bev, A walk on the beach in NC would be great, but thats too far for us. Ski lodges in NY are too far for other people. Maybe some where in PA???? Sorta on the ski lodge style. We dont have to ski. They do have the lodge part where we could sit all day and drink hot toddies! let's play around with the idea and see what comes up!

Do you all remember my story? the young woman who was about to give birth and the father was already suing for custody? Well the case is still pending and a healthy baby girl is born BUT my own daughter was served with papers Monday not that I'm biased or anything heehee but she is an awesome Mom, sacrifices everything for Tater-Tot. She works a full time job PLUS a part time jobs to make ends meet. She moved back in with me to just get caught up with Tater's medical bills.....and I'm sure some of you will understand what's it like to move back in with Mom and with a child lolol not a picnic Im sure for her. She receives zero support from the daddy, his Mom is a bulling woman who will give her a dime now and then, only when she sees Tater. has always allowed visitation from the two, she wanted Tater to see his other family and know them. Now they are accusing of not letting them see my grandson.....such a lie and thank GOD Ive been documenting all contact with them......helps to know how to do that lol after raising Sara. Well, we've met with our lawyer and we go to court Tuesday (only a week notice from the summons) I don't look for any problems but the lawyer said will probably always have to support Tater-Tot on her own......of course hell get the luxury of being in his life playing father. She sould have sued for support months ago but shes the type of person.....why make them, if they dont want too We knew from the beginning not to expect anything but I just don't get the nature of people or dads who want to pop in their kids lives to take the kid to the zoo BUT don't want to help financially rear these kids. Sorry if Ive offended any dads here. I know not all are like this Anyway Ive been researching juvenile law for our area and have been a bit quiet here. Anther incident hit us Monday too, a few girls from Sara's class told her to kiss a boy, then one girl told her to BITE this boy on the arm.....Sara complied UGGGGGG she loves her friends more than food and obviously will do anything they ask. Im designing ANOTHER social story, for her to just say NO to friends..this is a little more difficult to do since who knows what will pop up and I have to be specific with Sara on what is acceptable and what isn't ohhh the girls did admit they told Sara to do this so Sara was not suspended. If they had lied we would have another can of worms on our hands Sorry this is so long lol this is what you get for asking heehee Kathy mom to Sara

The suaree is way too far > away. we need something around january. Any takers???? Here, too . We went to a ballgame the other night near Dulles. I never realized how many planes come and go..one right after another. Many of us kept looking at the planes. There is a B2 bomber that will be flying low (for a funeral at Arlington) and the news keeps putting out bulletins for residents not to worry when they see it. We are spending allot of time at work processing everything. Our director had a family member in the NYPD who died. We are beginning to see an influx of emergency services cases. Right now, my own caseload is so low that we are staffing what to do with my time...lol! Most of my kids were adopted recently. It's neat to see how it finally happen for them. I work best under pressure and during a crisis so it's killing me not to have anything major going on. Life does go on, we have homecoming today. Tim already left with the kids for the pancake breakfast. I'll probably ride in the parade, throwing out candy for Katey's squad. Both of my teens will be busy all day long. What do you have in mind for January??

Guest guest
Is there any way to organize a New York event at a reasonable cost? I could use a nice walk in " The City " . (I actually considered the NY Buddy Walk, but Metroliner is waaaay tooo expensive for a day trip.) Or maybe we could all go together and rent a ski lodge for a weekend. Not being a skier, I wouldn't even know how to get started. I do know some people who own N. Carolina beach houses. Anyone interested in a nice walk on the beach in mid winter?
