Guest guest
, are we looking at the Hotel Brunswick in Lancaster??? It looks nice. Maybe too nice??? Also, if we get the pizza pool party can we have the hot dog and hamburger one instead?? believe it or not, amanda doesnt eat pizza! Oh, did you say have the pizza party on friday??? I think we should have it saturday night because people will be traveling on Friday and may not get there until late. By Sat evening, everyone should be there. If I stay on sunday night too, i might not come until sat. but i doubt it. cant miss a minute of partying!!!

Guest guest
Okay, are we set for the 18th & 19th of January then??? Because I just made reservations thru Travelocity.com for those dates. LOL I about had a cow when I saw the room prices listed on the hotel's website. I can afford $59/night, but $189/night would not have been possible. Thanks for that tip . This hotel looks pretty nice... it might be too upscale for my family!! LOL ~Heidi... mom to 5 yrs w/ds & 6yrs > I checked it out and it looks nice. I plan to book a 59.00 room (haha!) for the 18th and 19th. > >

Guest guest
Woo Hoo, you're talking my neck of the woods (we live an hour from Hershey, 1 1/2 from Lancaster) I grew up in Lancaster, but never really did the 'tourist' thing, so I don't know what there would be to do in the winter. I know there's a wax museum, don't think Strasburg railroad runs in the winter. Lots of outlets though. I'll check with my mom, who still lives in the area. Tourist season pretty much comes to a stand still in winter. Hershey has Chocolate World, which is open year round. Great for the kids. but it is really pretty much a promotion of chocolate. Fresh chocolate! They do have a ride simulating a tour of the factory and the story of how they make chocolate. We were just at Hershey park a few weeks ago and I saw they were doing some construction at Chocolate World, so they may be adding some features. They do have a winter extravaganza, but it is during the Christmas season, and if I'm not mistaken ends shortly after the New year. We usually go before Christmas, so I haven't paid much attention to the ending date. There is also a zoo, which is open year round, but it it's cold...... I'm behind on my mail, so haven't read up to further details if listed. But count us in! a Mom of 3, including Nicky, 10 years old, DS, Hirschsprungs Disease Grandma of Zoe, 4 years, and Christian, 2 years http://www.geocities.com/eureka/7926/nicky.html work: http://www.cumberlink.com Re: Upsndowns East Coast Winter Getaway > , > I also wanted to mention Hershey, PA, which is just outside of Lancaster and > of course, the home of the infamous Hershey chocolate!! Guest guest
If we go to the outlets, I won't be able to afford a drink. Guest guest
That is sooo cool, we just went to Amish country on Saturday. We should have waited one more week, the colors aren't changing just yet there. Di, mom to Jake(18,nda) and 4 (DS) Pennsylvania Upsndowns East Coast Winter Getaway The location has been chosen! Lancaster, Pennsylvania. All other details need to be worked out. We are looking at January or February. This is Amish country, not sure what we can see in the wintertime, but I'll find out.
