Guest guest
Hi, well, glad to see Tim and Kym's husband are home safe. Very, very sorry about the 2 people's lives that were lost in the plane crash. This is so sad that it is really affecting us all over our Country and world. OK, so I made it out of the house without a panic attack and no tears. When I got to work, I felt like I needed to do something. So I knew I had red and white ribbon at work, (ya know for Xmas), and I bought in some blue. So I started making these ribbon/pins. I handed them out to our whole staff. I was running out of ribbon and pins and a parent bought me ribbon and one of the nurses bought me pins. Even the kitchen staff wanted a ribbon (they have been very nice to us - even giving out food, usually they charge us ). My principal and AP loved the ribbons and i felt like i did something. I spoke to my class and we shared some stories and they got counseling from the guidance counselor if i felt they needed it. Then we put 3 2nd grade classes together and made mural size American flags to hang outside our rooms. It was a community effort and the principal came by and loved that too (wow sure am making brownie points with the admin!!!) i am going out now to see my mom. I havent seen her since before Tuesday. i hope to make it back before 7:30 this evening where there will be a candel light vigil and my pastor and a rabbi will be speaking. We will then march thru the neighborhood together. So, dont forget to come out tonite 7:30 Eastern Time with your candle and your flag. We stand united!!!! Love and big huge hugs to all, ~ mom to 11 ds and jesse
