Guest guest
Can't verify it, but it sounds good to me. If anyone celebrated it, they should be sent to Afghanistan and see how they like it compared to where they have been! Beth

HI We too have many Muslims in my suburb, in fact the news said 10,000 (didn't know there was that many lol) anyway Kaite said all week at school only one girl has come as a firm believer in equality to all, especially in education lol this hurts. Their minister (or whatever he's called) told all to stay home, no shopping and don't let your kids out, not even in the front yard. Some of Sara's Drs. are from Egypt and other nearby countrys (now Americans), it's their kids who are missing the education our country promises Kathy mom to Sara 9............Sara's buddy at school is and he has not been at school, since this happened

Guest guest
> A lot of the muslims interviewed were not happy with what has happened, but when one man was asked if his allegiance was to Australia he replied that his allegiance was only to his Allah (who doesn't seem IMHO to be the forgiving and tolerant guy that the christian God and Jesus are...)... One must remember that there are " extremist " in all religions. We live in a community with many Muslims. The local mosque was vandalized. I attended a writing course recently and was required to write a poem. One of the attendees was a middle aged man from Egypt. He wrote about the day, 14 years ago, when he received a letter granting him permission to move to the USA. He cried as he read the poem. Thinking back to that day, I certainly consider him to be an American. I worked with a foster mom who was a Pakistani Muslim. She touched the heart of a difficult child I worked with. She loved him and he knew it. I can't say that about the Christian foster parents who had him at one time or another. A local grocer (small country general store) was friendly with the customers. I heard the other day he was crying. said the students at VA Tech are beating up Muslim students. I do think that any middle easterners who are anti USA should be sent back immediately and banned forever from entering any NATO country. I'd hate to see this turn into a religious war....we need to focus on the extremists.

Guest guest
I think we should also remember that the " Middle East " is made up of Muslims, Jews, and Christians and that there are practicing Muslims of many nationalities and races and ethnicities, not just Arabs. I can't imagine any of the Arabs or people from the Middle East or Muslims that I've known condoning or celebrating what happened. Or being reliated against because of it. This is a small group of people with some very sick philosophies; they don't represent the larger groups.
