Guest guest
has been sick this week. Came home from school Tuesday with a fever, ran a low grade fever until Thursday am. Developed a cough Wednesday which seemed to get better. She begged to go back to school today, which I allowed her to do against my better judgement. I sent a note to her teacher letting her know I didn't think was near 100%, and to keep her quiet at recess. Anyway, they called me to pick her up at 9 am, her cough had worsened, and told them she needed to go home. I gave her some medicine when she got home and over the next couple of hours her cough worsened, but no fever. Off to the doctor we go, and she has pneumonia. This is the second time in just over 2 years that she has had pneumonia. Doesn't this put her at a higher risk, and isn't there some kind of vaccine for pneumonia? -- Sharon, Mom to (10, DS) and (6)
