A classmates inappropriate behavior

Hi

Yesterday I got a note sent home telling me a boy in Sara's class (sped)

asked Sara to lift her dress up and she did. Now she has this love/hate

relationship with this boy (he's the one she called " fat boy " last year) and

they cut up a lot. I explained to Sara this was not right, to listen to this

boy and then lift her dress up. She told me she had shorts on under her dress

but I wasn't positive she would have said no if it were only her panties

under that dress soooo I gave her the privacy lesson and told her to tell

someone if this happens again. The teacher heard the boy yesterday.

Now today when I picked Sara up her assistant and teacher were shocked I

wasn't furious at this boy.......I told them no that I understand that he

might not understand all of this (label is MR) they said well he knew better

and he received a 3 day home suspension for this.

Now when I think about it, it is a little scary, I would hate for Sara to

ever be molested or worse raped. The child obviously has sexual feelings or

her panties would be of no interest. Is there certain things I should do, or

insist on at school? did I handle it OK with Sara? this is a new arena for me

and I want to have all bases covered any help would be appreciated
