LOL It was Senior Citizen day yesterday, and Sara had a field day chatting

with the aged, some in wheel chairs........that couldn't get away from her

fast lol She did chat with some with the Carnies (guys running the

games.....they beg to talk with you and sucker you into their games) but by

the end of the day, she got quite ugly with them lol she told a few " quit

talking to me, I said NO " almost tripped when Sara said this to them.

Oh lol I can't get Sara to stay in a pet store for any length of time

and those animals are in cages. She shies away from any animal bigger or

faster than she is lol

Ill work on that lololol

I can say that at the Indiana State Fair this year, we had a very pleasant

experience with a Carnie guy. It was at the " throw a ball into the bowl for

a goldfish " game. We always buy a bucket of balls and let the boys go to

town. After many attempts, and Dakota getting a ball in, Austin was down to

one ball, and the Carnie guy lifted Austin over and let him slam dunk one!

He held on to our fish until we were leaving, and then he gave us 3 fish and

2 goldfish bowl setups. They were supposed to be $5 apiece. He explained

at the beginning that he has a little brother (10) with ds, and he was great!

Austin and Dakota both had fish, and he felt better about being away from

his little brother for a minute! Needless to say, the fish are gone, but I

replaced them with Beta fish, lots of them. I have a shelf in the dining

room lined with them, and a mirror behind them, and the boys watch them every

meal! (the dining room decor is sea side, with shells, etc....trust me, it

works...) :)

Well, Maverick is not overly fond of animals. He'll get on the horse just to

get his picture taken. He'll go out and feed the chickens and emus......but

keeps his distance from the big ones. He'll feed the sheep and goats...and

has learned that he can push them away if they get too close. But the pig,

while he has no particular fondness for " Porky " (every year he names his pig

Porky)....It just amazes me that this little 50 pound boy will get in that

pen and push around this 300 pound SWINE with no fear!! I myself am

intimidated by the pigs! The dogs remain his favorite.

His fish he likes to talk to when he eats, the snake he likes to forget

exists and the bird is just so loud it hurts his ears. Not much of an animal

lover, I guess.
