LOL here they did, and every friday we could wear pants. That's probably why by the time i was in 3rd or 4th grade they'd already dropped the dress 'dress code' Joy
Guest guest
The old idea was that HE earned the money and had done his share, and he was the boss, and the rest was up to her. I thought that had changed, and I think it has to some extent but there could sure be a lot of improvement. Especially when the woman stays home, he doesn't value that. I know my daughter said her husband would have liked her to be there to wait on him hand and foot, keep the house spotless, all that stuff and make at least $30, 000 a year doing it. He also planned to retire at 55 but wanted her to continue working till 65. Now we know why he is currently the EX. Jessie

Guest guest
Oh puh-leeze! I've always had options. So did my mother and every female of my acquaintance all my life. History is filled with great women ... scientists, mathematicians, artists, writers, statesmen ... you name it! We women have always run things, as any Jane Austen novel illustrates. I'm tired of all these great women being dealt with today as if they never existed. The only thing that I can discern that women's libbers have to offer is some sick need for male affirmation. We women have got along just fine without male affirmation in the past and I see no need for it now. And don't get me started on what women's lib is attempting to do to the English language! Women's lib is nothing but a middle class fad. The upper and lower classes have no need for it. Never have. granny, no women's libber because she is not willing to surrender her superior power for " equality. " --- " O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other ...
