Guest guest
Breezy can find another person with Down syndrome in any crowd. She also has given this gift to her sister. She sees a person with Down syndrome and gets so excited, she comes to me and quietly says look Mom they are like Bri! But I have noticed too that people who have a family member, friend or acquittance can spot Breezy from across the way too and I have determined that these people have the gift; they can see the angel wings. I proved that to my sister one day at Disneyland. I told her you can tell who sees Breezy as special and who sees her as different. There is a world of difference in their response to her. Ain't life great? We get to watch these little things evolve in our life's and most people just live life :0) How boring can that be. haha. HI I thought Sara had this skill too but I now know she doesn't. Sara will gravitate to the kids who are good talkers (NDA crowd), sadly .....she's missing the chance for some great friendships with non-talkers Kathy mom to Sara

Guest guest
This is perhaps a sad commentary but has not been around groups of people with DS. He recognizes it on TV or when he sees someone. In school he was the only one most of the time. There were some younger kids but he was not around them that much. We have one girl with DS among our friends and he likes her but doesn't have much in common with her. He really connected with my cousin's son when we met them a few years ago, this guy, Joe, is about 10 years older than but they hit it off. R. didn't care much for Joe's sister. The two are completely different in personality. I sometimes think it would be good for him to be around others with DS more but don't know how to manage it. Guest guest
has done this many, many times. When she was in infant stim class, there was an open house. Before we knew it, all the students with DS were off to themselves, playing and sharing while the other students were milling about or clinging to their parents. That was the first time I'd witnessed such a thing and I'll never forget it. It has happened so many times since, I've lost track. granny --- " O mankind!
