Hi everybody,

Well today my kiddies started school. OOO. is in the 11th grade

now . Seems that she is going to have a heavy load this year, between school

and working. I hope she has some fun this year. (Duh~~ I know she will) .

has entered the 5th grade and this year I feel will be the hair pulling

year for me with her I can feel it in my bones. (as creepy as they are now).

And as for my , (he'd kill me if he heard me calling him that name, he

prefers Bj). Anyway, this was a big day for him as well for me. All I kept

doing all day was thinking back to when he was so small and needing all the

therapys....Now look at him, downs syndrome and all, he has turned into such

a handsome and smart young man off to high school. I cried like a baby this

morning. was laughing her pants off at me. I am real glad that she

is in that same school as he is. They looked so cute together this morning

driving off in s jeep. As she started to drive off she said I am so

proud of this day, to be able to drive my little bro to school. What a way

to start the day off huh? I waited all day waiting for 2:15 to find out how

both there days went. said that all her friends had a plan to

surprise Bj at the school to cheer him on. said that when they got

there the girls were all over him giving him hugs and the guys were shaking

his hand and patting him on the back and one of nicoles guy friends said to

bj that if he needed anything to just look for him and he'll be there for

him. said she just felt like me, she filled up with tears at how well

all her friends treated him. They all helped make his special first day the

best. He was in heaven. LOL said that at lunch, she came in to the

lunch room and caught a glimpse of Bj and he was having a good time with some

other kids that she didn't even know. She stopped by to say hi to him and he

jumped up and said to the kids, " this my best friend, my sister nic " She said

she felt so proud at that moment. I am too....I guess I have done a good job

with them after all huh? AHHHHH now I can rest the rest of the year, I hope!

LOL....Sorry to go on but this was a hard day for me that ended great.

Thanks for listening....

Donna,

You should have warned us we would need a box of tissues!!! Good job all the

way around and for your daughter who went out of her way to make sure her

brother felt welcomed!! That is so admirable!!

Can't stay on too long, but just wanted to let you know how proud I am with

you!!

That is just wonderful, Donna. The fact that she accepts him makes a

lot of difference too. Jessie
