Guest guest
Hi all, I have a question about head banging and would like some advise please. When Hassan gets tired, frustrated, or really annoyed he will inflect pain on himself by hitting any part of his head and face with his fist sometimes making his self bleed. to get him to stop I usually pop his hand and he just cries some times he'll stop sometimes he doesn't. I don't like popping his hand bc then I inflect pain on him. I've tried talking to him and embracing him, it doesn't work. If I don't do anything he bangs his head on the floor and his mouth bleeds. I've tried putting a pillow under his head, he'll throw it and start banging his head again. Our commincation has gotten better this summer due to signing, but we still have a ways to go. Suggestions please. -mom of Hassan 4(ds) and unborn

Guest guest
, thanks for replying, yes Hassan has had a tympannogram recently. There's no fluid in his ears. when we lived in Ca. we had excellent service through San Bernardino Co. here they are so much slower and I don't know who to refer my question too. I have to change Hassan's Peds. Doc. because he is a student and it takes forever for him to find out info. for me. He usually refers me to Hassan's case worker who then will refer me right back to him. So I end up calling a million people to get one question answer or just researching it myself. These days it is pretty hard for me to do that bc of limited trans. I'll call a child counselor tomorrow. He had one that would visit every other day to monitor his behavior when we were in Ca. We didn't get that far bc I moved. -mom of Hassan 4(ds) and unborn
