You are flat and those storms just run right over you. On my Island at least, we can evacuate far enough inland to get out of harm's way. How old is your house? Doesn't it meet hurricane standards. They say it can withstand 250mph winds and it meets hurricane standards....but I am a big chicken. If I hear a tornado watch/warning, I will run to Alberton's Supermarket(much sturdier building.)
