Guest guest
Since my daughter was denied the Illinois Home Based Waiver, we are trying to come up with an alternative living arrangement for her to feel more independent. We own the house next to ours. We are thinking of trying to find another girl with disabilities to be a roommate, and a live-in " houseparent " -(free housing for the houseparent)- to live with our daughter. Does anyone know how that would affect her SSI payments? She currently receives $674 per month. Can some of her SSI money be used toward paying for furniture, household items, and " rent?
