Guest guest
Bonnie: Not to be contentious and cynical BUT...Saddler I believe does have good values and for the most part she understands our issues, but keep in mind, she worked for the Governor's office prior to her position at DHS AND she still works for the Governor...what would you expect her to say about her former and current boss. While I do not believe our Governor is evil, or stupid or mentally unbalanced, he is beholden to the unions and he has made some very key decisions that are not, in my humble opinion, in the best interest of human services, e.g. his executive order to unionize personal support workers in the Home Based Support Services Program, proposed Managed Care for long term services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, cuts made to an already underfunded system, late payments to providers, elimination of grants without grandfathering in current recipients in some way...there is probably more, but this is what comes immediately to mind.
