OUR HOMES NOT NURSING HOMES

A PETITION FOR FREEDOM AND DIGNITY

******************************************************

TO: Governor Rick

Lt. Governor Dewhurst

Speaker Tom Craddick

We the undersigned ask the Texas Legislature to adequately fund support

services for people with disabilities and older Texans. These services will

allow people to live in their own homes with dignity and not be forced into

nursing homes or other institutions.

We believe the community support needs of people should be the highest

priority of the 78th Texas Legislature. Thank you for your consideration of this

very important issue!

Can I make a comment here? And please take it in the spirit in

which it is intended. Thousands of individual e-mails mean much

more, and get more action than several petitions. I am not trying

to attack anybody - I commend people for trying, as I agree with

what is being said - but if people really want a change send a

separate e-mail to (and sign the petition, too!).

, in Seattle :)
