iCan Learn Tech Series 1:

April 10 - USING THE LATEST TO LEARN: ipod touch, iphone, computer

Speaker, Black, special education teacher

Come learn about ways to utilize the latest in technology for your child with a

disability in the classroom using the ipod touch, iphone, and computer including

video modeling. This interactive workshop will explore applications and

programs that are free to low cost to teach and increase literacy, organization

and life skills including video modeling. Participants are encouraged to bring

their ipod touch, iphones and laptops.

Target audience: Parents, Professionals, Educators, or anyone working with

individuals with developmental disabilities including autism, ADD/ADHD, and

other learning or cognitive disorders. Concentration will be on elementary ages,

middle school or learning level abilities.

..

Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm Registration & Continental breakfast starts 8:15am

,

Location: NIU Naperville Campus, 1120 E. Diehl Rd. Naperville, IL 60563.

,

Cost: $70 individual and

$130 for couple (two people same house - 1 set materials)

,

Registration includes presentation and am/pm snacks. Sodas available via

vending. Lunch is own. Box lunches can be pre-ordered the day of the event.

Restaurants located close by. Wifi connections for the workshop is available.
