Use of FSA to help folks pay medical expenses will be capped in 2013 at only

$2500.

Some families, e.g. especially those with nutrition, & incontinence issues use

FSA as an offset to items  their own plans will not cover, or until approved by

Medicaid....

With products like Ensure at about $1.50 a can x 365 days = $547

Diapers depending on size of person at a low of 2.25 a day  = $821, and pads

at another $800...

I have a headcahe alreday and probably no money in my FSA left to reimburse

Here is an article from CNN

All you need is more than 2 people in a household to easily run over $2,500 in

co-pays, Rx (esp for those on daily maintenance meds), and

meet-the-annual-deductible costs.-

Some typical prices in my neighborhood:

filling for 1 cavity--about $300

pull all 4 wisdom teeth--$2,300

eye exam and glasses--over $300

Our current insurance has a deductible (for not in network MDs, or mental health

costs)  of $600 per person, or $1,800 per family.  Less than 5 years ago, it

was $200 per person or $400 per family.

Even with an insurance plan that covers a lot, $2,500 can be plowed through in

no time.

Has anyone mentioned yet that the healthcare plan starts taxing for 3-4 years

before anyone benefits from the plan?  That's how it's going to get initial

funds.
