Guest guest
Hi all: In researching Gubernatorial candidates, I started also reading about candidates for U.S. Senate (the seat formerly held by Barack Obama). Mark Kirk, the Republican front runner has been my U.S. Congressman for several terms. Because of past experiences with him, I hoped to find a better candidate to vote for...I have agreed with some of his policy decisions and disagreed with many. I have attempted, over the past several years to get in to see him in his home office and have been ignored...I met with him once in his first term. Overall I have not found him to be approachable. A couple of years ago, after listening to him speak about health care and the elderly, I confronted him about his thoughts on how people with disabilities figure in to the grand scheme of his policy decisions. His response to me was, " In Washington we have to make tough choices. " In other words...people with disabilities don't matter much to him... Needless to say, I will not be voting for him. I have been looking at Hoffman...and I am providing you with the link to his website. Here are a couple of facts that may be of interest to you... He has taken ZERO dollars from any PAC or large corporation. He has taken ZERO dollars from any of the unions... By the way, he is also not paying me to say any of this Enough said...
