I always recommend that folks be proactive when it comes to SSA/Medicare. By tracking the credits themselves they are in a better position to contact SSA to 'help' them understand that the beneficiary is now eligible for disability benefits on their own record. :)Medicare is pretty good about contacting the individual when their 24 month waiting period is up.
