I hope those of you who shop at Dominicks will ask about getting this in the store in your community. Also...whether you have good or bad experiences shopping at Dominicks or elsewhere, don't forget to log on to www.jjslist. com to share your reviews of local stores and businesses. Let's help promote those that are " disability friendly " while helping to educate those that are not... Ellen CONGRATULATIONS TO DOMINICKS for implementing HelpAble. HelpAble is a Safety Service I initiated after my 23 year old son who has Autism experienced a safety issue while shopping for groceries. HelpAble provide press-on stickers that are applied to Dominicks Preferred Cards. The HelpAble Logo is an instant identifier that alerts cashiers to conduct sales transactions according to the HelpAble Safety Instructions. PLEASE SUPPORT DOMINICKS LOCATED at 95th & ROUTE 59. I have contacted Dominicks corporate office seeking to implement HelpAble in all of its stores. For more information and to obtain HelpAble Safety Stickers please contact me at HelpAblecomcast (DOT) net <mailto:HelpAblecomcast (DOT) net> ALSO the profits from the HelpAble Safety Stickers will be used to create part-time jobs for young adults with Autism and other learning differences as Service Checkers. The Service Checkers will shop at stores that endorse HelpAble to ensure it is implemented with quality assurance. I NEED A VOLUNTEER TO HELP ME SET UP THE HelpAble WEBSITE. My goals are (1) Retail Safety (2) To create employment for young adults with Autism and other learning differences who are living in isolation and boredom. Guest guest
Janel, I regularly shop at Dominick's--mine's in Matteson (Governors Highway and Route 30)and would happy to speak with them to get their store joined up with HelpAble. My store employs many folks with disabilities--mostly baggers--and I have have been shopping there since we moved into this community almost 20 years ago. They are so much like a family! My son also has autism and is 29 years old. Contact me offline.
