Guest guest
NOT privy to the exact method that was used to give out this info...I am all about FOI. What about hipa...privacy, confidentiality. It is one more thing to get boiled about..and how can I/my son be protected. we sign all kinds of docuements spelling out who can/cannot get his info, and now the state under Lilia's leadership, is giving out that kind of info. This entire thing stinks. Lets keep blaming the governor..yet the person who handed out the names and numbers should be held to some kind of standard...perhaps letting us know that our privacy is about to be invided. There are so many meetings between teh director and advocates, perhaps we need to let the director know we really want privacy. I think I am concerned with a director who answers a union FOI request, and we families dont hear a peap from the director. I am soo venting and even more now that I know this info was clearly handed over like our kids lives without so much as a debate. Who'se side is the drector on anyway...for too long we have protected unions..politicians..and soft shoe every one, while our people with DD are dust. There is no answer. friendlyu to this, but there is also no deffence to this either. I felt ambushed by the call..not sure what country I was in if such info is so available. Stop defending any of them in Springfield...we just keep ketting worse and worse. We are to blame because we keep letting this crap happen to us. Until we, the advocate, all of us get mad and stop defending ANY of them, we have onlyourselves to blame.

Guest guest
I guess I am just an easily annoyed middle aged woman. I dont like junk mail invading my mail box or junk phone calls bugging me. I dont pay for phone service so others can help their bottom line. I always had fun though when the Marines would call and try to get Adam to enlist. Go right ahead. I never found any college mail or phone call helpful. I like to get calls really only from people I want to hear from.

Guest guest
I did the same thing with the Army. apparently Kim had signed up for them to contact her when they had a presentation at her school. The gentleman calling just wanted to know if he had my permission to come and interview Kim. I let him go on for a while, until he started asking some medical questions - that put an end to it! Guest guest
Just rereading some emails and this one got me thinking, Cindi. Keep in mind that the Governor is responsible for having given the ok for unions to try to organize personal support workers to individuals with developmental disabilities and once he made that decision, Director Teninty probably didn't have a choice about releasing names. Maybe her silence has something to do with being on our side but unable to protest or comment publicly? Just a thought... Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... Re: caller ID said . . .
