(GHRLTI) is now accepting applications for the 8th Edition of its

Certificate Course in Human Rights Leadership Development Training, 16th

November – 16th December 2011.

COURSE

DESCRIPTION

The

Human Rights Leadership Development Training course aims to develop a

comprehensive experience of human rights learning by equipping potential human

rights educators, advocates, activists, students, volunteers, and law

enforcement officers with knowledge and skills to integrate knowledge in the

fields of politics, economics, cultural diversity, gender issues and

socio-psychology in the context of human rights.

The

program will further equip participants with skills for better understanding of

the concepts of human rights learning and leadership development. This course

will also provide the participants with a concrete ‘step-by-step’ approach

including hints and guidelines for developing and implementing a successful

human rights project in their organisation and communities.

The

maximum number of course participants is 30. Participants who successfully

complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Target Audience:

The

course is aimed at human rights educators, advocates, activists, law

enforcement officers, lawyers, women activists, programs managers, research

officers, leaders and members of coalitions and networks, staff of NGOs and

CBOs, donor agency program officers, volunteers, development actors, trainers,

students, Ministry of Justice officials, government officials etc.

Course Fee:

The

course tuition fee is US$300. There is a limited amount of partial scholarships

available for applicants from developing countries, based on financial need.

Application Procedure

The deadline for

application is 14th November 2011. While full tuition payment is due

on 15th November 2011. However, applications will be accepted on a
