So I'm making a few really small dishes for my hubby and I to eat that aren't completely carb-y, and we'll just have to watch the portions. I know this is after the fact, but good job coming up with a plan. You can always be sure to have your fruit for breakfast and veggies for evening snack when they aren't offered during the course of the meal.... It's been a good week...my job layoff was postponed out to February, and my dream job with the state opened up (not that I'm optomisticabout getting it, but at least there's an opening!), and we got thenews that hubby's insulin pump will be in on Monday! He's reallyexcited, especially since we hit our deductible for insurance with hislast hosiptal stay so the pump is covered 100%! I don't know if I remember the particulars of why you are getting laid off, but grateful with you that it is postponed until Feb. At least this way like you said you can pursue other positions. Great news also on the insulin pump being available and covered at 100% He hates the constant needles sticks so much, so he's can't wait untilnext week. Never having to live through this, I can only imagine. I am sure he is excited over this! I feel guilty a lot that I'm the closet eater who weighs 308 poundsand I don't have diabetes (though I'm sure I'm headed there if I don'tstop this), and he is in his normal weight range and eats pretty well, yet he has to deal with this disease. Don't feel guilty, just change it. I started at 310, so know where you are at and probably a lot of your feelings. You can do it! In the last week I've gone down about a pound or two, but the goodthing is I've unhooked myself from caffeine. It's all water and theoccasional diet root beer or green/white tea.Now I've got to get back to the regular exercise routine.... WOOOHOOOO - hay a pound or two is still weight loss and the slow/steady loss is easier to handle. More long term, I've heard. Start slow with exercise, so you don't hurt yourself with anything. Guest guest
I am visiting my parents in North Dakota for Thanksgiving. My husband assumed some new responsibilities this past summer. Means more travel for him. I've been able to travel with him. Last week found us doing a whirlwind tour of Florida. Started out in Orlando on Sunday, Tampa area on Monday, Miami on Tuesday and then back to Orlando on Wednesday. Hubby had meetings to Disney Resort Wednesday through Friday. I spent some time running around Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Seems as if we have been out of town more than home lately. That should change a bit this next month or two (at least for me.) Hubby goes to Ghana again in January. .DaciaDeaf Lutheran Missionssouth Wisconsinwww.DeafJesus.org For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. Guest guest
Did you forget me, ?? LOL The computer is working again (for now) we lost it again for several days... Our Thanksgiving was great, very relaxing. I have been down for the last 2 days or so. The Fibromyalgia and TOM was killing me! I am doing better today. I am getting back on the FLY TODAY. I have been off for so long I'm not sure where to start! SO I just jumped in and the hopuse already looks great and the tree is up...not decorated but at least it's up. Hope this finds everyone doing well. Blessed be,
Guest guest
>The computer is working again (for now) we lost it again for several days... I'm about to open up mine to install a new USB 2 card and I'm dreading it! I just *know* something is going to happen because so many new things, both hardware and software, aren't compatible with this old Windows 98 OS I'm using. >Our Thanksgiving was great, very relaxing. And with your older son there you have even more to be thankful for. >The Fibromyalgia and TOM was killing me! I am doing better today. Good to see. I've been eating way too much dairy and sugar this past week and I'm fuzzy headed as well as achy all over. It's gonna take about a week to detox from it all. >I am getting back on the FLY TODAY. At least I was able to not only get some real exercise in this morning but with everyone gone again I was able to start cleaning the living room. I did 15 - 20 minutes at a time and I should be ready to vacuum by Wednesday and that'll be the end of it so we can start the Christmas decorations. >SO I just jumped in and the hopuse already looks great I was amazed at how much I could accomplish in just 15 minutes. I don't follow Flylady 100%, but love her 15-minute rule. Heck, I even got a few piles of garbage to go out - old magazines and other recyclables that got stacked up. >and the tree is up...not decorated but at least it's up. The soonest the tree will go up is Wed Dec 6 when Ed has that day off. I should be able to start the other stuff this weekend. Ed just walked in the door - see you all tomorrow.
