Dear Bill,

I just got a 4 page fax from you and SMT Enterprises.

It contained the same invitation in your enclosed email.

I am not opposed to polling fellow chiros for business. I have offered CA classes, rehab. help, orthotics casting, bad jokes, to the chiro. community. (To my credit, I have never offered placenta shampoo and skin care products but I have sold a few dessicated adreanal glands.)

I have also purchased overpriced X-ray Council tapes (just kidding Tim), exercise equipment, supplements, etc. from colleagues.

I get fairly annoyed by junk faxes. They take up phone time, staff time, and for some folks, fax film or toner and paper (if you don't have Winfax or something).

It really chapped my nether regions when people were sending out faxes saying, " You and your boss are going to suffer HEAVY FINES if you don't take our HIPPA Course " .

(I note that your email includes the initials WWDB which, if I'm not mistaken, is World Wide Dream Builders, a reputable marketing group distributing Amway/Quixtar.)

I'm sure I speak for many when I aske that you please don't participate in faxing people without asking them first, no matter how good the cause.

At Mountain Park Chiropractic, we looked at different business units to add to the practice. We have expanded in the area of nutrition with our most recent addition being an on-site nutritionist. In our attempts to make this more successful, we have been working with a group of chiropractors in southern California, the World Chiropractic Alliance, Nutrilite, and the World Wide Health Group.

Jo Webber, Ph.D has been a Professor of Special Education at Texas State

University since 1986 and is currently serving as Associate Dean for

Academic Affairs for the College of Education. Her professional

experience includes teaching students with autism, emotional and

behavioral disorders, and mental retardation, and directing community

and school programs for individuals with autism and students at risk for

dropping out of school. She is a past president of the International

Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders, a division of the

Council for Exceptional Children, and for 20 years has consulted with

school districts throughout the state and nation regarding appropriate

educational programming for special education students. Her interests

include educating students with autism and emotional and behavioral

disorders, high quality teacher preparation, and promoting positive

behavioral programming in schools and communities. She is co-author of

three textbooks, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders: Theory to Practice

(Allyn & Bacon, 2002), Autism: Teaching DOES make a difference (

Wadsworth, 2002), and Educating Students with Autism: A Quickstart

Manual for Teachers (Pro-Ed,, in press.).
