Guest guest
Bwana Kombo,If I can remember very well, Kenya as a cohessive nation did not exist in the minds of many people, the reason why everyone were confined to where they were born. It was in its formative state and to say there was tribalism before independence is just missing the point. It was a wild West, just like in the U.S in its formative years. In any case what was causing tribalism if the means of transport to take a Luo to Kikuyu land or vice versa did not exist? I think some people are trying to justify tribalism that its ok because its started even before Kenyatta era. Without tribal tribal politics, they would have nothing to talk about.
