Guest guest Posted September 7, 2011 Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 Nairobi Star (Nairobi) Kenya: Nacc Hopes to Reduce HIV Prevalence in Women Madegwa 6 September 2011 We could register a decline in HIV prevalence among women in the two years if a newly launched plan by the National Aids Control Council is fully implemented. The plan dubbed " Mainstreaming Gender HIV Response in Kenya " has set up guidelines that will help reduce HIV prevalence among women. According to NACC Director Alloys Orago, HIV prevalence rates in women stands at eight percent while that in men is slightly above four percent.
