We could register a decline in HIV prevalence among women in the two years if a

newly launched plan by the National Aids Control Council is fully implemented.

The plan dubbed " Mainstreaming Gender HIV Response in Kenya " has set up

guidelines that will help reduce HIV prevalence among women. According to NACC

Director Alloys Orago, HIV prevalence rates in women stands at eight percent

while that in men is slightly above four percent.
