According to Western Union in Boston, $100 USD converted to 6,061.09 Kenyan Schillings today at their exchange rate.

Can people in Kenya, or who have visited Kenya recently, help me understand how that translates in cost of living? For example in Boston, I rent a 4 bedroom house for $1,800 per month. How much would it cost to rent a 4 bedroom house in Kenya?

I found a site that says bread in Kenya is selling for 30 schillings....does that equal 49 US cents?
