Guest guest
Hello I am Meyrick. I have been involved with groups in Kenya and started a non-profit this year so I could assist families and individuals in Kenya. I have one young man I am helping attend college. Last June He mailed a package from Kenya with work from his younger students..it never arrived.. I just went to the doctors this week and found out that I have a rather large, well established tumor on my parotid gland, although it appears benigh, the problem is its location, the gland sits on your main nerve that controls the face, neck, throat, voice, digestive system and stomach. So needless to say taking it out will be tricky. After the doctor explained a few of the ways they could get to the tumor( Texas Chain saw massacre came to my mind)and some of the complications that might arise I was not feeling so great, I was very scared and my imagination was working overtime. I arrived home in the pouring rain, the sky black with clouds. I stopped to check the mail and inside was a tattered brown envelope held together with a rubber band addressed to me with no return address. It had Kenyan stamps. I opened them up and inside was 100 pages of beautiful artwork made by the children..pictures of Jesus, hearts, messages of love, peace, hope..page after page after page.. I was overwhelmed.. That on one of my darkest days, on a day I felt uncertain about my life and what was going to happen to me.. 100 love letters from God, lost in the mail for over 6 months and delivered to me the MOMENT I need to be reassured By such amamzing and hopeful children.. I am humbled by the Greatness of God and his timing.. I just want to share this with you all. The young man that sent the package was so happy, he said he never gave up hope it would come.. His faith was stronger then mine.. I had no doubt it was lost forever.. I have learned one of the most valuable lessons of my life.. Taught to me by children.
