Guest guest
This formula by Dr. Schulze has yet to fail in thousands of patients, and you'll see it has cascara sagrada among other herbs. http://www.learnhealth.org/patient/intestinal.htm#1 > Hi Lea, > > She could try Cascara Sagrada with occassional Licorice Root. Both of these herbs should be available at your local drug store, walmart or health food store. Cascara is not habit forming so it can be taken every day and is very gentle. I used to take these at bedtime when I felt blocked up. My neighbor tried these and she said they worked like Correctol. I have never tried Correctol but if your friend has then she will understand what I mean by it being gentle compared to exlax. I have been told Milk of Magnesia works to but, too much can cause the runs. I have a spastic colon so it was important to me to not take something that was going to cause cramping. The Licorice Root is soothing to the intestine but I only used it twice a week. Too much can cause potasium loss. Here is more data on contraindications for licorice > > http://www.herbalhealthplants.com/article1022.html > > I personally never had any problems taking it but I used it moderately and made sure my potassium intake was good. > > Eileen > > > > > Hi > I was hoping someone could tell me anything good to take to deal with constipation, my friend cant eat anything as she sais she feels so full because of it, i thought coffee enanima might help, any advice would be great > > thanks in advance > lea > > >
