I was wondering how many of the kids with diagnosed gastro-intestinal problems were constipated and how many had the opposite problem, and what percentage of each were male or female. Andy has talked about people either being high or low sulfur, and supplemental treatments being advised or not depending on the sulfur balance. I was also wondering if there might be a correlation with this as well. I also know from textbooks that sulfur containing water supplies can have a laxative effect. My daughter is low sulfur, and chronically constipated. Based on my reading of E-mails, she seems to be in the minority. I think that some people must have some reliable data, but I have not ever read of any correlation's being made. Actually after I sent my question, I reread your post, " We haven't seen a loose stool in a long time, " and realized that your child must have had loose stools, not the other way around. Was he high or low sulfur in tests? Joe Marciano
Guest guest
Joe How did you test your daughter's sulphur levels. We are trying to test for our son but Dr.Waring requires a 24 hour urine collection which is impossible for a non-potty trained 2 year old in diapers ! thx paul --- CentreAv2C@... wrote: > In a message dated 7/16/00 9:59:11 PM Eastern > Daylight Time, lovell@... > writes: > > << We use it in accordance with Megson's > protocol as presented at last > years DAN!. > If you are interested, I can post some links to > this protocol. >> > > Yes, please do, it sounds like you have gotten good > results from it. > > I was wondering how many of the kids with diagnosed > gastro-intestinal > problems were constipated and how many had the > opposite problem, and what > percentage of each were male or female. When we did urine and blood amino assays with metametrix, the pattern was that sulprur containing amino acids were elevated. I'm sure there are more exacting ways, but the general idea that was being discussed when I wrote this was that some people are either high or low, and effected by sulphur containing substances differently.
