May I ask why you thought these 2 hospitals were your best bets? Oasis has a

technique that's effective w/liver metastases (which sounds very impressive),

though I don't know any unusual assets/advantages Oasis has in treating

pancreatic cancer.

If you choose Oasis, I'd encourage you to see if you can also get some Gerson

therapy (though when I visited Oasis, they wouldn't give both treatments

concurrently), since Gerson therapy's very effective w/pancreatic cancer

(assuming your father hasn't had chemo and the cancer's not too advanced) and

liver metastases

(so long as at least 50% of the liver is functioning). I would also consider

CHIPSA, which also offers Gerson therapy, urea (which I believe is effective

w/liver metastases), and many other therapies.

Regardless of which hospital you choose, you may wish to consider also doing

Kelley- therapy (somewhat similar to Gerson, though not quite as

demanding), which is extraordinarily successful w/pancreatic cancer patients

(at least those who haven't had radiation or chemo). Jack practices

this therapy and works w/nonlocal patients, as long as they're able to get

regular blood/lab work done.

I know nothing about Providence other than my brief visit there. I got an

excellent impression of the millieu/human atmosphere and of Dr. Tarasov as a

person, and I got a good impression of the treatment. My impression is that

they give the average patient a slightly wider range of treatments than

Oasis, but I regret that I really have no idea which hospital would be better

overall for your father.

I know alot about Providence/Dr.Tarasov...I was the first to hire him in Mex.

and he left shortly after...I won't go into it all here...email me privately

if you want some info....just be careful and get everything in writing ahead of

time and a refund policy in writing too...
