The family of Army Sergeant Glenn is not the only party keenly interested in the Army's investigation of his death. Here is what we know: The 24-year-old Pittsfield man, strong and healthy enough to pass an Army physical, was " getting over the flu " when he received his deployment order for Iraq, according to his sister. Before he left, he received a number of vaccinations, including an anthrax vaccine. Six days later, he died while participating in a routine running exercise, an exertion that should not normally kill a fit young soldier. The day news of his death appeared in The Eagle, another front page story reported that a federal judge ordered the military to stop giving an " experimental " anthrax vaccine to servicemen and women. Could there be a connection? Seeing as some 900,000 others got this vaccine, it's a possibility the Army should consider.
