That, or the government could appeal Judge Sullivan's ruling to a higher

court. I seriously doubt either, at least for the time being. The

administration is in a real no-win situation this time.

If Duhbya issued an executive order that effectively set aside Judge

Sullivan's TRO, he would be committing political suicide. Not only did

TIME recently award service members the title of " People of the Year " , I

strongly suspect that it reflects popular sentiment as well.

Essentially " ordering " active-duty service members to receive a

dangerous if not completely illegal immunization that does not protect

against the threat it is intended to counter, would at the very least

bring to the fore the entire problem of there being no " Weapons of Mass

Destruction " . That would immediately eclipse the rest of the Iraq

Invasion and Occupation, and call into question whatever rationale led

to it. If Duhbya and his administration have any sense at all, they'll

stay the hell away from the TRO, even to appeal it!

The entire anthrax immunization controversy is about to hit the fan,

right at the time that hundreds of thousands of families are missing

their deployed loved ones the most (and there are only reruns on TV).

Judge Sullivan couldn't possibly have timed it BETTER!

To everyone!

I am so happy that nobody can be ordered to take the anthrax vaccination at

this time! I hope it becomes permanent policy if it's not. I was told to roll

up my sleeve and did reluctantly after two hours of debating if I would follow

this order from my superiors. I complied but it was the hardest thing I ever

faced! Prior to being vaccinated I shed tears, looked at pictures of my

family, and realized being 3 months from a 20 year retirement that I couldn't

jeopardize my Navy pension.

I made the wrong decision and got a sore throat that evening (Feb 1, 2003)

which progressed into swollen glands, joint pain, fatigue, nausea, psoriasis,

back spasms, chills, ear infection, facial paralysis twice, tumor, and now 9

months later I am a Cancer patient as I have something called Muco epidermoid

Carcinoma of the parotid gland which is normally found in people in their 60's

and 70's although I am only 39 years old.

At the VA some Doctors tell me " YES " their could very well be a relationship

to the vaccine and some of your ailments. None will put this on paper or state

this in front of other medical personnel. It seems as if my second residence

is at the VA Hospital anymore. It seems pathetic to me that it is taking so

long for my VA disability/compensation claim. It also seems amazing that I don't

qualify for social security benefits as I make just a little too much on my

pension and have a Wife and three kids to support even though I have been

unable to maintain a job due to ailments, or treatments and now 6 weeks of

radiation treatment. It is thoroughly humiliating how many doors have closed

regarding any type of assistance. It seems shameful to me as just last Christmas

at

this time I was at the butt end of a M-60 machine gun 12 hours a day in the

Persian Gulf for 9 months inflicted with many ailments that I undoubtedly

attribute to the Anthrax vaccine. A line can be drawn to that day of Feb 1, 2003

health wise! I was a little overweight and slightly elevated cholesterol but

otherwise I was healthy and worked out often sometimes for two hours a day.

I hope this letter makes it's way to those in Public office who are

contemplating the future of the Anthrax Vaccine! I felt violated when I was

ordered to

take the vaccine. I think it is a shame that I can Volunteer to be in the

World's strongest military and best Navy and fight for all the freedom's we hold

dear and have fought and died for yet be forced to take a vaccine in which my

freedom of choice is violated and the spirit in which this great Country was

founded completely ignored. Then given the explanation that it is for my own

good. Well, I didn't encounter any Anthrax (especially on a ship that was always

on the move in the wind )! but I did have an adverse reaction to something I

didn't want in the beginning.

It is unbelievable how much conversation transpired when I questioned the

vaccine and it's safety. Since I got sick it seems as nobody even wants to hear

from me on this subject. Doctors seem to be saying um hum, and yea, hmmm, or I

don't know, could be...but what they really are telling me is they don't want

to get involved or recognize the problem or put their head on the chomping

block for going against the beauracacy and objectives of the Military leaders.

I am going to express myself this one time regardless of how it strikes

anyone. I am tired of the Yes Men/Women who think because they are educated that

the Captain or a Chief on a Navy Ship must automatically be accurate in his or

her assessment of what ails a sailor. I was intimidated and my email and

Internet privileges were taken away. I was basically interrogated on who I

talked to

and what was discussed in reference to my adverse reaction. I had a Master

Chief that blamed my facial paralysis on my eating habits and kept jabbing his

finger towards me. I was so intimidated out their that I was at my breaking

point and had an anxiety attack during " Request Mast with the Commanding

Officer "

Our Ship's Medical that the higher ups said could provide adequate treatment

for me failed to have a working EKG machine during my anxiety attack. They

would deny this but I remember them emailing the maker of the machine and asking

about diodes and such.

It is astounding that I would be put in harms way inadequately protected from

something as common as a heart attack yet be forced to be vaccinated against

something against my will that has never been used on our troops. I could go

on for days about the intimidation that I endured and how I feel like I was

dropped off on the curb after 20 years of honorable service to my Nation.

I believe strongly that the troops should never be vaccinated against their

will again. We should have the right to choose in keeping with the same virtues

that we hold sacred and fight for every day. I hope the leaders that are

beyond my reach reason and have the energy to fight for what's clearly right in

this instance. That is the right to choose if they want to be vaccinated for the

Anthrax Vaccine. I know if I had the choice 9 months ago that I would

probably be playing with my kids right now in the backyard and not going to

Radiation

treatments everyday. It's not just one claim or a hundred but Thousands of

your Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Sons, and Daughters that are

suffering. It's too late to help me much but it's not too late to help that

young Man or Women sitting at the local Recruiting office who is more than happy

to Volunteer to defend the Freedoms that the United States of America honor

and Cherish.
