Welcome to the group.

You may find it useful to look on the Group site, then click on "Database" (it is a little under "photo").

Now click on "BPES List"

You will see in this database information about 126 people. Note that there are nearly 500 people who are members of the group. So about a quarter have chosen to put information about themselves, and their treatment, on this part of the site.

If you click on the little arrow next to Country, they will all be sorted in country order, so you can see all the USA people listed together.

I think that you will find it helpful to look here and to get in touch with people. Especially those who live near you.

It would help if you thought of this information as shared experiences from other people with BPES. Please don't think of it as endorsing a specific treatment option, because that is best left to your healthcare team and professionals.

I have met more than 25 people with BPES. There is quite a range in severity. Some people have had to have surgery early, others not till their teens. Determining the best time for surgery is something that is between you and your ocular plastic surgeon.

Hello Group,We have a 11 month old daughter with BPES. We are trying to locate Plastic Surgeons in the U.S. with experience in BPES cases. We do have a surgeon that we have met with but has had only one other BPES patient. Please let us know if anyone has a good website for this or if you have had a good experience with a surgeon.
