Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am a frequent follower but occasional poster!! I am always grateful for your input, thoughts, suggestions, advice...etc.!!! Halle is now 2.5 and we travelled to see Dr. Pashby in Toronto (we live in PEI) for a consultation appt. We assumed it would be to set up 2 surgeries - one for work done to the inner part of her eyes and then the lift when she is around 5. But he told us that he could do both surgeries at the same time. That way it is only one operation and not as traumatic for Halle. When I prodded a bit more, he indicated that the results would not be as good as if they were done separately. But how much of a difference, he didn't know. Of course, I want this done right the first time...and if that means 2 surgeries, then that's what needs to be done. So my question to all of you is...have any of you or your children had the 2 surgeries done at once? Is this a common thing? Is there more chance of having to have it 'redone'? Halle is 2.5 now and there is a 1yr waiting list for surgery so if I decide to do it separately, then I would like to go ahead and book now for when she's 3.5 and then have some time before the lift is done at 4.5 or 5. I would really appreciate your thoughts/comments on this. I just want to do what's best for Halle. Thanks so much! Donna PEI, Canada
