Guest guest
Hi There, Sorry to hear your worried about the surgery, I can completely understand!! Is canthioplasty the same as trans-nasal wiring?? Is it being done to widen the eye? Sorry for the questions, my daughter has just recently been diagnosed (aged 6 months) and is due to get her sling surgery before she is 1yr old. I am sure that someone out there has good information for you, this forum is fantastic for that!! It has been a wonderful source of help and support for my family and I. Best of luck and hope your all doing ok! Ireland blepharophimosis canthioplasty HelloMy daughter is 2 1/2 and will have canthioplasty in feb or march. I am really worried about this one, because she is no longer a baby and aware of everything around her and becomes scared, etc., What was the healing time for your child? What was it like when they came home? What things were you not prepared for or anything that you could share would be so helpful to me.She is aware that she is "different" certainly she has heard enough questions about her eyes (unfortunately that's just the way it is) She will hold up a doll and say "what happened to the baby's eyes?, she's okay, they don't hurt!" And I have told her that she has small eyes like mommy and the doctor will help her so she can see more. Once she was playing with an Asian child her same size and she looked so closely at the girl's face and got so excited. thank you Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.
