Guest guest
teeheeteehee You know I live in Wales in the UK now (from California) and I have to constantly explain WHY people in the US are so stupid and actually take this all seriously...............and believe what is on the news from the propganda wing at the white house Sheri (who marched with 1.5-2 million in London on Saturday and found it to be incredible - and NO it wasn't socialists, communists and muslims only as said on CNN) At 04:04 PM 02/17/2003 -0600, you wrote: >List: > >That duct tape used to be amazing stuff. Guest guest
Actually the backup plan is probably to issue Glad bags to everyone and when all else fails open the bag, place over your head and tape very tightly around neck. Makes about as much sense. The last few years even the military duct tape is pathetic, and won't stick well. Maybe Osama knew we were going this way and set this up years ago? Ha Ha Re: Duct tape and plastic List: That duct tape used to be amazing stuff. About a year ago, I compared my old roll (mere remnant) to the new roll. Pathetic new roll. sticky stuff over gauze, colored silver. I am thinking of using it to sift things! Perhaps there are several qualities available. The real question was did they hop instead of waddle, or just make a pitiful muffled quacking sounds " mmmaff, mmmaaaffff " ..? When the neighbor took a nap while FRYING french fries in the OVEN of all things, all the smoke seeped in under the walls. Nothing came in from the windows. I would think one would have to pull back carpeting and seal under baseboards to be effective. Kitchen cabinets are loaded with cracks, and what is behind them? Personally I prefer not to seal out the smoke, it was a nice early warning system. Only later did the kitchen wall get hot. Functional windows were handy for letting the smoke out! Glad they weren't taped. Maybe the best idea is to buy stock in plastic rolls and duct tape, use the profits to buy a place so far into the boonies that they pump in the sunshine, a place on almost no maps...... Guest guest
Just before I went into the VA hospital on 12-Feb-03 (again, and as always for complications of my getting the anthrax shot), I suggested calling the duct tape idea " Duct and Cover. " Brought back memories of " put your hands behind your head, put your head between your knees, and kiss your ass goodbye. " We had to do this foolishness back during the Cuban Missile Crisis in junior high. We then lived in Arlington, VA, and school was about five miles from the Pentagon. We'd have been reduced to quarks before we ever heard the boom. ======================================================================== ======== The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.
