Guest guest
Thanks and for your help. Sounds like it shouldn't be too much of a problem then. I'll speak to the hospital again and find out when he would have his check up after the op. Thanks! Tessa JT> Hi Tessa, JT> When my son, Jonah, had his sling surgery, he easily would have been ready for travel just a couple of days after surgery. I would imagine it just depends on the job your surgeon does and on how JT> well your child responds. Hope that helps you... JT> JT> blepharophimosis recovery from 1st op JT> Hi there JT> Bipin's first surgery (temporary slings) at Moorfields was postponed a JT> few weeks ago because he had a cough. We now have a new date, but it's JT> only 8 days before we go away to Spain on holiday. The secretary that I JT> spoke to said that they usually recommend that the patient doesn't JT> travel for at least 2 weeks after the op, but I don't think she JT> necessarily knew about his specific case or how his recovery might be. JT> So my question is - from other people's experience of this op on a 1 JT> year old , what do you think the possibilities of infection might be? JT> can you think of any other reasons why it's best not to travel? We're JT> reluctant to postpone it again as it could well take another 3 months JT> to get rescheduled. JT> Thanks for your help!
