Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am a new member and I am a mother to Marcus J. and he really has been a joy in our lives. When he was born on May 26th 2001 we never realized until the day we were going home from the hospital that something might be wrong with his eyes, and of course they had to tell me at 6 am when my husband or no relatives were around that my precious bundle would have to have a multitude of surgeries!! Oh how hard to deal with all that, and then fiding out what it was, (BLEPH) not ever hearing of this problem. Marcus has had 1 surgery at the age of 1 year and now we are facing another one coming up soon at the age of 5!! I had a hard time with the first one, which was just the widening of the eyes and now we have to do the slings and widen them again!! Has this been done with any of your children? Now Marcus is in K-garten and he has to deal with children not sure of him!! Also, with surgery now!! I am a little aprehensive on this whole thing and nervous for him, because I love the way he looks now, but I know it is for his own good!! Well, nice meeting everyone and I am so happy to be here for support and understanding that there are others just like Marcus!! Thanks again, Karla Mesman Hudsonville, MI
