Danny also had his surgery appointment cancelled when he was 8 months old, because he had a fever. He is nearly 7 years old now and has not had any operation yet. As I have mentioned before we went to see Mr. Collin last November and he told us that in Danny's case the operation would not make him see any better, it would only make him look more awake. Danny is a very happy boy and he does not seem to be affected in any way by his eyes being different from other people's. We just went to the doctor (eye specialist) yesterday for his annual vision check-up. He told us, that his vision is not being affected by his condition, he sees very well and he does not need glasses. (Mr. Collin in November told us the same.) Well, what I wanted to tell you is that I am very happy that Danny has not been operated yet, and I do not now if , in his case, being operated will improve his quality of life. And although we made an appointment for him to be operated in August by Mr. Collin, I am having second thoughts about it. I remember how much Lucy reminded me of Danny when I met you! I am not trying to give you any advice or tell what to do, I just wanted to let you know what I feel about my son's situation. I hope I am not making things more confusing for you, but I could not stop myself from telling you what I feel about Danny. Wishing you all the best.
